These terms describe the understanding between you, the reader, and Fasren Cucina, the publication, whenever you browse fasren.com. Opening the site means you accept them. They are short because the site is simple: we publish recipes, you read and cook them.

What this site is

Fasren Cucina is an editorial website about Calabrian cooking with traditional fats. It offers written recipes and food writing, free of charge. Nothing on the site is for sale, no membership exists, and access requires no registration of any kind.

Cooking from our recipes

You are welcome to cook every dish published here, for yourself, your family and your guests, as often as you like. Home cooking is exactly what the recipes are for. When you cook, you do so at your own judgment: you are responsible for handling raw ingredients safely, operating your own stove and oven with care, and adjusting for the allergies and dietary needs of the people you feed.

What belongs to Fasren Cucina

The written text of this site, including recipe headnotes, method descriptions, section copy and the arrangement of the pages, is the intellectual property of the publisher identified below. You may share short excerpts with a link back to the source. You may not republish whole recipes or substantial portions of the site, commercially or otherwise, without written permission. Recipe ideas and cooking techniques as such are part of the common culture of Calabria and belong to no one; it is our particular expression of them that is protected.

• Do not scrape, mirror or mass download the site's content.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the infrastructure that serves the site.
• Do not present our content as your own or imply an endorsement that does not exist.

No warranties on kitchen results

We test our recipes with care, but every kitchen is different. Ovens run hot or cold, ingredients vary by season and region, and technique grows with practice. Limits of our responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site or from cooking its recipes, including burned dinners, allergic reactions to ingredients you selected, or reliance on any information found here. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.
